The city of Agra in northern India, once the capital of the empire of the great Mughals during the 16th and early 18th centuries, is located 204 km south of New Delhi, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Tourists from all over the world visit Agra to adore the city’s monuments including the unique beauty of the Taj Mahal, India’s most famous architectural building. The monument houses the cenotaph of queen Mumtaz Mahal.
